Guitarist Steve Kimock recently revealed plans for the debut performance of a new project of which his son John Kimock is also a member. The band is set to make their live debut at Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, California on January 17 and a full tour has now been added to their schedule.

The father/son duo used the last year to compose new music together and will be joined onstage by bassist Bobby Vega and vocalist Leslie Mendelson. The tour runs from March to the beginning of April with stops in California as well as the East Coast and Midwest.

Along with the news of the tour comes word of a new Steve Kimock solo album, Last Danger of Frost. The guitarist will issue the record on March 18 and has set up a Pledgemusic webpage to support its release. Among the offerings of the Pledgemusic campaign are private lessons with each of the Kimocks, along with many other limited items.

“For me, the balance of the music has shifted to ‘other,’” Kimock said about the album which is said to have inspired the new K I M O C K compositions. Check out a trailer regarding the new LP:
