Last night, Steve Earle brought his current solo tour to the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Though billed as Alone Again: Solo & Acoustic 2024 Summer Tour, Earle was not left alone during the concert that featured special guests Emmylou Harris, Lucinda Williams, Buddy Miller and Stacey Earle participating in the performance.
Emmylou Harris came out in the midst of Earle’s set to perform “Goodbye.” The song appeared on Earle’s 1995 album, Train A Comin’. Harris also recorded a version of the song for her 1995 album, Wrecking Ball. Harris and Earle contributed to each other’s albums, which were each nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Folk Album, with Harris’ release getting the win.

Collaborations continued during the evening’s encore with Miller accompanying Steve Earle on “Sin City” by The Flying Burrito Brothers. The show ended with Buddy Miller, Emmylou Harris, Stacey Earle and Steve Earle’s longtime friend and collaborator Lucinda Williams performing “Pilgrim” to bring the night to an end.
