St. Paul & The Broken Bones Visit Birmingham’s ‘City Federal Building’ With Latest Single

Hear the third single off Angels In Science Fiction.

St. Paul and The Broken Bones shared a new single, “City Federal Building.” The track will appear on the Birmingham, Alabama band’s upcoming album, Angels In Science Fiction, due out on April 21 via ATO Records.

St. Paul & The Broken Bones detailed the album in February and shared the lead single “Sea Star.” The band followed with “Lonely Love Song” in March and now share “City Federal Building.”

Frontman Paul Janeway wrote the material for Angels In Science Fiction after learning his wife was pregnant with their daughter, Marigold. Each song on the album serves as a letter to his daughter. Janeway shared the message behind “City Federal Building.”

“Don’t let them take your Holy Ghost. Don’t let them take what’s precious to you. Find meaning, and don’t let people take whatever that meaning is. There is sometimes a desire that you want your child to grow up to do what you do, but ultimately you just want them to find happiness and some sort of meaning.”
