Springsteen, Daltrey & Townshend Perform At MusiCares Event

Last night the 11th annual MusiCares MAP Fund benefit concert was held at the Best Buy Theater in New York City during which The Who guitarist Pete Townshend and The Who manager Bill Curbishley were each honored for their past work with charities. Curbishley was given the From the Heart Award and Bruce Springsteen was on hand to give Townshend the Stevie Ray Vaughan Award. The Boss stuck around and ended up performing with Townshend and his surprise guest and The Who band mate Roger Daltrey.




The trio ran through “My Generation” and “Won’t Get Fooled Again” the latter of which also featured Billy Idol and Willie Nile who had each performed sets at the event. Joan Jett also delivered a set for those assembled in Times Square. Watch an AP video report from last which includes a cameo from attendee Paul Shaffer who discusses life after the Late Show:
