Spoon’s Britt Daniel Covers David Bowie

Since news of David Bowie’s death broke this week, tributes to the iconic musician have been mounting from around the globe. One such musical nod to The Thin White Duke came from Spoon frontman Britt Daniel who posted a message about Bowie as well as a poignant cover of “Never Let Me Down” to his band’s Facebook page.

Daniel’s message read in part, “No other artist has meant as much to me personally or inspired my own songs as much.” Recorded at his home, stream Daniel’s take on the title track to Bowie’s 1987 album after reading his heartfelt message to the legendary artist.
