Spoon Performs On ‘Ellen’

Last month Spoon released their studio album Hot Thoughts. Today’s episode of the daytime talk show Ellen featured the band performing the LP’s title track.

Matador Records issued Hot Thoughts in March, marking a return to the label that released Spoon’s 1996 debut album Telephono. The band’s ninth studio album followed up their 2014 full length, They Want My Soul.

Spoon is currently touring in support of Hot Thoughts with Tennis opening a number of the performances. Spoon will head to Europe later this summer followed by a return stateside mixing a number of appearances at festivals and headlining dates. They’ll team up with The Shins for a four-night run including a show at Red Rocks on October 5.
