Soulive & Chris Robinson Perform Black Crowes Classic

The Black Crowes released “Remedy” on 1992’s The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion, the band’s sophomore studio album. “Remedy” topped Billboard’s Album Rock Tracks chart for a whopping 11 weeks in May of ’92. The song was a staple of Black Crowes’ live sets, but has yet to be performed by The Chris Robinson Brotherhood. Last night’s rendition was the first time Chris sang the song in public The Black Crowes’ final show on December 14, 2013 in San Francisco.

Robinson’s time on stage last night also included covers of Traffic’s “Who Knows What Tomorrow May Bring,” Otis Redding’s “Hard To Handle,” Grateful Dead’s “Brown-Eyed Women,” Bobbie Gentry’s “Steal Away” and more. Bowlive continues tonight with announced guests George Porter Jr., Anders Osborne and The Shady Horns. A webcast is available via Nugs.TV.
