Sombr returned to Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California on Saturday to perform at Coachella weekend two. The rising singer-songwriter modified his setlist from the first weekend to include a Billy Idol sit-in and a Radiohead cover.
The guest appearance by Billy Idol followed an appearance by The Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan with Sombr at Coachella’s first weekend. The pair of guest Billys had not performed at Coachella prior to joining Sombr.
Idol brought along his longtime guitarist, Steve Stevens, for the collaboration with Sombr, which consisted of “Eyes Without A Face.” The hit song originally appeared on Idol’s 1983 sophomore album, Rebel Yell.
Another setlist shakeup occurred near the end of Sombr’s set when he delivered a cover of “Fake Plastic Trees” by Radiohead. The song comes from Radiohead’s second album, 1995’s The Bends.
Both “Eyes Without a Face” and “Fake Plastic Trees” are older than the 20-year-old Sombr. Between Coachella weekends, Sombr last week announced his 2026 You Are The Reason North American Tour.
“These past two weeks have felt like a dream,” Sombr wrote about his Coachella experience.. “Thank you to everyone who showed up to see me. Thanks to the legends [Billy Idol and Steve Stevens] for joining me. I will hold these two special nights in April with me forever.”
