Sinkane Performs NPR ‘Tiny Desk Concert’

A recent taping of the long running NPR Music video series Tiny Desk Concert featured Sinkane. The performance at Bob Boilen’s workspace showcased several songs that appeared on the group’s recently issued LP Life & Livin’ It.

Frontman Ahmed Gallab led the ensemble featuring bassist Ish Montgomery, drummer Jason Trammell, guitarist Jonny Lam, vocalist Amanda Khiri, keyboardist Elanna Canlas and percussionist Reggie Pace through a trio off songs on the new record. The New York City-based collective offered renditions of the singalong “U’Huh,” the catchy “Favorite Song” and album opener “Deadweight.”
