Saturday was the third day of the 2016 edition of Dominican Holidaze in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The theme for Saturday was Silver Ball in honor of the event’s 10th anniversary. Located at Now Onyx and Breathless Resort & Spa, Saturday’s slate of music began with in the afternoon with Michal Menert playing a poolside set at the Onyx. The Disco Biscuits performed a sunset show that started with “Papercut,” along with a “Lunar Pursuit” > “Jigsaw Earth” combo. Up next was a “Little Shimmy In A Conga Line” that featured a take on Hallucinogen’s “Gamma Goblins” in the middle featuring special guest Simon Posford. Posford was on hand for a Shpongle DJ set and he added to tDB’s first “Gamma Goblins” since December 30, 2006.

Chicago rockers Umphrey’s McGee loaded a pair of sets with heavy hitters on Saturday night. The band’s first of two sets contained lengthy versions of “Utopian Fir,” “All In Time” and “Ocean Billy,” while the second set was filled with classics such as “Plunger,” “2×2,” “The Triple Wide” and “Dump City” ahead of a “Slacker” encore. Jamtronica act STS9 closed out the main stage action with a pair of career-spanning sets. Goldroom then kept the party going into the wee hours at the Wink Bar.
