Sharon Van Etten & The Attachment Theory Perform Synth-Laced ‘Somethin’ Ain’t Right’ On Kimmel
The song appears on the band’s recently released self-titled debut album.

Sharon Van Etten & The Attachment Theory swung by the El Capitan Theater yesterday for an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The singer-songwriter and her group delivered an intense performance of “Somethin’ Ain’t Right” from their self-titled debut album for Tuesday’s episode of the late-night talk show.
Van Etten and bandmates drummer Jorge Balbi, bassist Devra Hoff and multi-instrumentalist Teeny Lieberson collaborated to record the 10-track LP at Eurythmics’ former studio, The Church. The album was released on February 7 via Jagjaguwar.

Sharon Van Etten & The Attachment Theory recently launched an extensive spring tour supporting their new album. The trek continues tonight, May 21 at Los Angeles’ Wiltern Theatre.
“Somethin’ Ain’t Right” is a rocker sung with urgency by Van Etten. Liberson infuses the song with emphatic synth swirls and melodies, while Hoff powers the track with an intense bass line.
