Shaboozey & Stephen Wilson Jr. ‘Took A Long Walk’ Together For ‘The Long Walk’ Soundtrack

The film adaptation of Stephen King’s novel lands in theaters on September 12.

The film adaptation of Stephen King’s 1979 novel The Long Walk will arrive in theaters on September 12. Shaboozey and Stephen Wilson Jr. teamed up to record the song “Took A Long Walk” for the feature film’s soundtrack.

Directed by Francis Lawrence, The Long Walk stars Cooper Hoffman, David Jonsson, Garrett Wareing, Tut Nyuot, Charlie Plummer, Ben Wang, Roman Griffin Davis, Jordan Gonzalez, Joshua Odjick and Josh Hamilton, with Judy Greer and Mark Hamill. The movie’s score was composed by Jeremiah Fraites.

Shaboozey’s most recent album, Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going was released in 2024. The “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” singer-songwriter appeared on BigXthaPlug 2025 album, I Hope You’re Happy.

Earlier this year, Wilson issued a deluxe edition of his 2023 album, Son of Dad. Last week he released Blankets, a covers EP of songs by Nirvana, Temple of the Dog, The Postal Service and The Smashing Pumpkins.
