Guitarist Zion Godchaux of BoomBox, Jerry Garcia Band keyboardist Melvin Seals, drummer Wally Ingram (Steve Kimock/Phil Lesh & Bob Weir) and Billy & The Kids bassist Reed Mathis will team up with turntablist DJ Logic for the Send It Foundation’s third annual Send It Jam fundraiser. The benefit concert will be held at the Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, California on Tuesay, November 26.

In addition to a performance from the one-night-only supergroup put together for the event, the Send It Jam Fundraiser will also feature a silent auction including such items as rental of a ski house in Telluride, an E Bike, ski and snowboard gear, outdoor adventures, wine, trips and more.

Proceeds from the show and silent auction will benefit the Send It Foundation. “The mission of the Send It Foundation is to inspire positivity, courage and gratitude in young adult cancer fighters and survivors through the gift of outdoor adventure and community,” reads a note from the organization.

Send It Foundation, which was founded by Mill Valley native Jamie Schou after he was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 33, puts together multi-day adventure programs that include such activities as skiing, surfing and climbing for young adults fighting cancer with the aim of giving them a break from treatment to play, connect and enjoy the outdoors.
