Ryley Walker will issue his fourth solo album Deafman Glance via Dead Oceans on May 18. The guitarist announced a batch of tour dates in support of the record, which features the newly premiered single “Opposite Middle.”

Walker recorded the nine-song Deafman Glance in Chicago with co-producer Leroy Bach at Minbal (now JAMDEK) Studios, USA Studios and in Bach’s kitchen. The record features Bach, a former Wilco member who also co-produced 2016’s Golden Sings That Have Been Sung, on guitar and keyboards as well as Brian Sulpizio and Bill Mackay on electric guitars, Mikel Avery and Quin Kirchner on drums, Andrew Scott Young and Matt Lux on bass, Nate Lepine on flute and saxophone and Cooper Crain on synthesizers.

Walker also revealed an extensive tour in support of Deafman Glance. The guitarist will perform throughout the U.S. in April and May (often supporting Calexico), including a pair of record release shows at Hungry Brain in Chicago May 18 and 19. Walker heads to Europe for a batch of shows in July before resuming stateside in September and October. A trip back to Europe is planned for November and the first part of December.
