Singer-songwriter Ryan Adams has been regularly sharing updates on social media regarding the progress of his upcoming new studio album. Last night Adams and has band played a surprise concert at the Factory Theatre in Sydney, Australia, during which they “played the new record” as well as a “few oldies.”

Adams is in town for a planned concert tonight at the Enmore Theatre. Earlier reports placed the release date of Adams’ yet-to-be-titled album as November 4, but that proved incorrect as new material has still not been issued. The LP is said to have been inspired in part by Bruce Hornsby.

The show last night opened with “Do You Still Love Me?” which was first played by Adams at his concert at Red Rocks in August. An image of the setlist from Sunday night appears to also show previously debuted new songs “Haunted House,” “To Be Without You” and “Tightrope,” as well as classic “oldies” such as “Everybody Knows,” “Peaceful Valley” and “Shakedown On 9th Street.”
