Umphrey's McGee's Sky’s The Limit 2026 Tour touched down in Seattle on Friday for a concert at The Showbox. The band recruited old pals saxophonist Skerik and Andy Frasco & The U.N. drummer Andee Avila to join them for a Rolling Stones cover during the second set.

Guitarist Jake Cinninger has been sitting out UM’s March tour dates while “taking a necessary leave of absence for personal reasons.” Setlists for Jake-less shows have been been heavy on material sung by and featuring founding guitarist Brendan Bayliss, a trend that continued in Seattle.

Brendan Bayliss handled lead vocals on UM’s first “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking” in 72 shows amid the closing stanza. Skerik emerged on sax with Avila joining Andy Farag on percussion as the jam in the Stones cover began. The Seattle-based saxophonist took a powerful solo while Bayliss focused on rhythmic work. Brendan then took the lead before trading licks with Skerik for a sensational call-and-response sequence. The band and their guests connected on the anthemic lick that closes the song to bring the 13-minute “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking” to its conclusion.

Earlier in the evening, the instrumental “You Got The Wrong Guy” bled into “Push The Pig” to start the show. Next, Umphrey’s delivered a seamless run of “Push The Pig,” “The Linear” and “Half Delayed.” A sequence connecting “Escape Goat,” “Power Of Soul” and “1348” ended the first set.

Umphrey’s McGee devoted the first 22 minutes of the second set to an adventurous “Hurt Bird Bird.” Skerik and Avila came out for “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking” after the ensuing “Out Of Focus.” A pairing of “Conduit” and “Small Strides” wrapped set two in Seattle. Bayliss went on to front an “August” encore that encompassed a rare cover of Paul Simon’s “50 Ways To Leave Your Lover.”
