Rush Celebrates ‘Moving Pictures’ Anniversary With ‘Tom Sawyer’ Megamix

In February of 1981 Canadian power trio Rush released their highest-selling album in the United States, Moving Pictures. The band has celebrated this month’s 35th anniversary of Moving Pictures’ release by enlisting director, videographer, web designer and photographer Adam Jones to put together a megamix featuring live performances of “Tom Sawyer,” the LP’s most famous song.
The video below, which premiered via A.V. Club, mixes footage of Rush performing “Tom Sawyer” live at various points between 2003 and 2015. Included within is footage from Rush In Rio (2003), R30 (2005), Snakes & Arrows Live (2008), Time Machine 2011: Live in Cleveland (2011), Clockwork Angels Tour (2013) and R40 LIVE (2015). Take a peek:
