ROMP Festival Announces 2017 Lineup Additions

The 14th annual ROMP Festival will be held at Yellow Creek Park in Owensboro, Kentucky on June 21 – 24. Organizers from the International Bluegrass Music Museum have finalized the lineup of musicians appearing at this year’s event.

Added to the slate of performers includes Keller Williams Grateful Grass, Jerry Douglas Band, Scythian, We Banjo 3, Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper, Kelsey Waldon, The Dustbowl Revival. They join prior confirmed ROMP artists such as Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Punch Brothers, Los Lobos, Rhiannon Giddens, Yonder Mountain String Band, Peter Rowan Band, Pokey LaFarge, Billy Strings and several others.

Free admission to the nearby International Bluegrass Music Museum comes included with ROMP Festival tickets. The museum will present several exhibits and screen a documentary film on bluegrass music’s first generation, including legendary bluegrass pioneer Bill Monroe. Those that attend ROMP are encouraged to bring their instruments to jam with others, including the fest’s performers.
