Roger Waters Performs ‘Danny Boy’ In Dublin

Roger Waters kicked off a two-night stand at 3Arena in Dublin on Tuesday night. The Pink Floyd co-founder and his band began the encore by treating the audience to a cover of a traditional Irish ballad.

The evening started with a two set performance presenting a setlist comprised of the tour’s usual mix of Pink Floyd favorites and selections from Waters’ 2017 solo album Is This The Life We Really Want?. Following the pair of sets, Waters and his band mates returned to the 3Arena stage to offer an encore rendition of “Danny Boy.” Backing vocalists Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig of Lucius featured prominently on the debut performance of the well-known Irish tune.
