Roger Waters Announces North American Tour 2022
Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters confirmed rescheduled tour dates for his This Is Not A Drill tour of North America. Waters is now slated to hit the road in July 2022 for a lengthy run that continues through October 2022.
Roger initially announced the tour in January of 2020 and postponed the run two months later in the wake of the pandemic. Waters and his band will perform “in the round” for the first time during the This Is Not A Drill tour.
The tour begins at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh on July 6, 2022. Additional July 2022 dates in Toronto, Boston, Montreal, Quebec City, Albany, Detroit, Chicago, Milwaukee and Minneapolis follow. Waters brings the tour to Cincinnati, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Raleigh, Atlanta, Miami, Orlando, Nashville and New York City in August 2022. Then, September 2022 stops include Kansas City, Denver, Salt Lake City, Portland (Oregon), Edmonton, Vancouver, Tacoma, Sacramento, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Roger plays Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena on October 1, 2022 before he is currently set to conclude the tour at the American Airlines Center in Dallas on October 8, 2022. “This Is Not A Drill is a groundbreaking new rock & roll/cinematic extravaganza, performed in the round,” noted Waters in a statement. “It is a stunning indictment of the corporate dystopia in which we all struggle to survive, and a call to action to love, protect, and share our precious and precarious planet home. The show includes a dozen great songs from Pink Floyd’s Golden Era alongside several new ones — words and music, same writer, same heart, same soul, same man. Could be his last hurrah. Wow! My first farewell tour! Don’t miss it.”
