Roger Waters & Lucius Cover John Prine’s ‘Hello In There’

Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters teamed with Lucius‘ Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig to perform a cover of John Prine’s “Hello In There.” Waters’ rendition with Wolfe and Laessig premiered on Sunday night as part of Our Voices Together, a film featuring original performances directed by Josh Goleman and put together by organizers of the Newport Folk Festival to benefit the Newport Festivals Foundation.
John Prine, who passed away earlier this year due to complications from the coronavirus COVID-19, originally released “Hello In There” on his self-titled debut studio album in 1971. Waters, Wolfe and Laessig joined John Prine for “Hello In There” during Prine's guest-filled set at the 2017 Newport Folk Festival.
