Rocky Mountain Folks Festival Reveals Initial 2016 Lineup

The 26th annual Rocky Mountain Folks Festival will take place on August 19 – 21 in Lyons, Colorado. Planet Bluegrass has revealed the initial lineup of performers heading to the scenic festival this summer.
The first batch of confirmed artists making their way to the Rocky Mountains includes The Decemberists, Lucinda Williams, Passenger, Kathy Mattea, Darrell Scott, Dougie MacLean, Cheryl Wheeler, Darlingside and Ben Shannon. Several more acts are expected to be added to the lineup at a later date.
Once again Folks Festival will launch with the Folks Songwriter Showcase featuring a competition of up-and-coming singer-songwriters vying for a slot on the lineup. More information, including purchasing tickets to the event can be found here.
