Robert Fripp & Toyah Willcox Cover The Prodigy’s ‘Firestarter’

King Crimson guitarist Robert Fripp and singer Toyah Willcox posted a cover of “Firestarter” by The Prodigy. The couple were again joined by guitarist Sidney Jake in the latest video in Toyah and Robert’s Sunday Lunch series.
“Firestarter” was the first single off The Prodigy’s third album, 1996’s The Fat Of The Land. The track sampled The Breeders’ song “S.O.S.,” resulting in Kim Deal getting a songwriting credit. Additional “Firestarter” covers include versions by Jimmy Eat World and Sepultura.

The Prodigy frontman Keith Flint died in 2019 at the age of 49. In the “Firstarter” cover video, Fripp, Wilcox and Jake honored Flint with a poster with his name and a heart.
