Sting, Billy Joel, Bon Jovi & More Aboard For ‘Rise Up New York!’ Virtual Telethon
Sting, Billy Joel, Bon Jovi and Mariah Carey are the first four musical acts confirmed for Rise Up New York!, a virtual telethon set for Monday, May 11 at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT. Proceeds from Rise Up New York! will go towards the Robin Hood Relief Fund, which supports nonprofit organizations on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic in New York City.
Rise Up New York! will be hosted by Tina Fey and presented by iHeartRadio & Robin Hood. The hour-long broadcast can be viewed nationally on CNBC, heard nationally on SiriusXM with many local New York City television and radio stations also airing the virtual telethon. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio will appear on Rise Up New York! along with Jennifer Lopez, Eli Manning, Chris Rock, Bette Midler, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jimmy Fallon, Spike Lee and other prominent New Yorkers.

This crisis has created a whole new set of challenges for the millions of New Yorkers who already struggled to make ends meet,” said Robin Hood CEO Wes Moore in a statement as per Billboard. “This is a moment where we must all come together and rise up together as a community in support of our neighbors and in support of one another.”
