Rich Robinson Teams With Luther Dickinson For Wiser Time

This year’s installment of the Wanee Festival took place over the past weekend at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida. We’ll have an in-depth report on Wanee ’15 soon, but in the meantime video has surfaced of one of the festival’s highlights -a reunion of former Black Crowes guitarists Rich Robinson and Luther Dickinson.

On Friday afternoon Rich Robinson brought his solo band to Wanee’s Peach Stage for a set that included Luther Dickinson contributing to a rendition of The Black Crowes’ classic “Wiser Time.” Luther was a member of The Black Crowes, a group Rich co-founded, between 2007 and 2011. “Wiser Time” was often the improvisational highlight of Crowes’ sets during Dickinson’s time in the band. The guitarist was at Wanee with The Word, who performed after Robinson’s set.
