Watch Remi Wolf Strip Down ‘Cinderella’ For JoyRx Music

Remi Wolf delivered an acoustic rendition of her hit single “Cinderella” with guitarist Alex Pachino on the JoyRx Stage at the Austin City Limits Music Festival last fall. Video of the intimate performance was shared today on JoyRx Music’s YouTube channel and can be viewed below.

JoyRx began in 1995 as the Children’s Cancer Association, founded by the Ellis family in honor of their five-year-old daughter, Alexandra, who passed away from cancer. Born from grief and guided by love, their vision was to redefine pediatric cancer support with a focus on joy and healing through music.

Today, JoyRx Music is a national program that brings the power of music to thousands of hospitalized children across a wide range of ages and diagnoses, as the organization fills a vital gap in arts and music services. Whether through in-person visits, virtual interactions or on-demand performances via JoyRx Kids, the program meets children wherever they are, helping to make even their hardest days a little lighter.

The California-bred Remi Wolf released “Cinderella” as the lead single from her 2024 album, Big Ideas. “‘Cinderella’ is a lyrical collage of the ups and downs and mood swings and transient lifestyle I was experiencing while writing this album,” Wolf explained when the song came out. “Constant travel and rapid changes led me to feel such a rollercoaster of emotion- moving from feeling really insecure to feeling really good to feeling manic and depressed and then feeling OK again, while desperately craving a grounding figure to tell me I was doing a good job. So, this song was me stepping in as my own fairy godmother telling myself that I was in control.”

The genre-defying musician performed at the ACL Fest on October 12, 2024 as part of her The Big Ideas Tour. Wolf’s backing band features Pachino on guitar and the ensemble recently started the 2025 leg of the trek.
