On June 15, Rebelution will release their sixth studio album, Free Rein. Today, the band has unveiled the first single off the LP, “Celebrate.”
Rebelution aims to lead up to the release of Free Rein by issuing a new song from the LP on the last Friday of each month. Billboard premiered “Celebrate,” a song about the loss of a band friend and former tour mate Mike Eyia. Frontman Eric Rachmany told Billboard he has an aim of listeners, “I want them to stand tall and stand proud and think positively because no matter what, things can get better. I want people to play this song and feel good about their lives and who they are in their own skin. That’s what I want people to feel.”

“At the end of the day, life is a celebration and while it’s important to grieve it’s also important to recognize that life is worth living for. So, I definitely think this applies to anyone whose passed on or in remembrance of anybody, Mike too,” Rachmany added. Listen to “Celebrate,” the new single from Rebelution:
