Radiohead Video Accused Of Copyright Infringement

A week ago English rock band Radiohead released an new LP A Moon Shaped Pool which included the single “Burn The Witch.” An animated video was released for the album track and the creators of the 1960s animated television series Trumpton have alleged the clip infringes their copyrighted content.

Speaking to The Daily Mail, 95-year-old Trumpton creator Gordon Murray’s son-in-law William Mollett stated:

Radiohead should have sought our consent as we consider this a tarnishing of the brand. It is not something we would have authorised. We consider that there is a breach of copyright and we are deciding what to do next … Gordon would be appalled.

Both Radiohead and the “Burn The Witch” video director Chris Hopewell declined to comment on The Daily Mail’s report. Watch “Burn The Witch” followed by a clip from Trumpton below:
