In 2006 brothers Oliver Wood and Chris Wood, aka The Wood Brothers, released their debut full-length studio album – Ways Not To Lose. One of the songs on the LP that has become a hallmark of their live sets ever since is the beautiful “Luckiest Man.” A video featuring The Wood Brothers’ performance of the tune from a 2016 festival has just surfaced on YouTube thanks to Good Wolf Sessions.
The Wood Brothers were among the headliners at the inaugural New England Festy, which was held at Prowse Farm in Canton, Massachusetts on September 17 and 18 last year. Years after recording “Luckiest Man,” Oliver and Chris added multi-instrumentalist Jano Rix to the band. Rix plays keyboards on “Luckiest Man” which adds another dimension to the live version of the tune.
