This past Saturday night the Tedeschi Trucks Band brought a wonderful Beacon Theatre residency to a close in New York City. Saturday’s finale was highlighted by a guest spot featuring Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio. Anastasio led the group on Leon Russell’s “Delta Lady” and helped the TTB debut a 33-minute rendition of “Mountain Jam” by the Allman Brothers Band. Today, the Tedeschi Trucks Band has shared official footage containing the end of “Mountain Jam.”
Viewers get to watch the beautiful bridge including hints of “Will The Circle Be Unbroken” that followed bassist Tim Lefebvre’s solo as well as the return to the main theme. Both Trey and Derek Trucks get after it and the passion in which they played was all over both guitarists’ faces. Here’s hoping more of the epic “Mountain Jam” surfaces. Check out our report on that memorable night as well as audio of all six TTB Beacon ’17 shows including the recording made by Ed Gendelman used for this video. The footage below was shot by Marc Lowenstein and Adam Gerber.
