Pro-Shot Video: Joe Russo’s Almost Dead Shares Oakland ‘Jack Straw’

On November 12 Grateful Dead tribute act Joe Russo’s Almost Dead returned to the Bay Area for a performance at the Fox Theater in Oakland. Earlier this week the band unveiled a crispy soundboard matrix recording of their show in Oakland and today the five-piece has rolled out the first official video from The Fox.
JRAD played what many fans thought would be a set-closing version of “Jack Straw” over an hour into the first set in Oakland. However as the group was finishing their rendition of the Bob Weir classic crew members came on stage to start setting up equipment that would be used for a surprise acoustic set following “Jack Straw.” Despite the chaos on stage, the quintet turned in a top-notch “Jack Straw,” watch:
