Pro-Shot Video: Jim James Appears On ‘A Prairie Home Companion’

As reported, last Saturday’s episode of A Prairie Home Companion featured a performance by Jim James. Official video footage of the My Morning Jacket frontman’s appearance at The Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul, Minnesota has been posted.

James was first welcomed to the stage by host Chris Thile to perform a solo rendition of the New Multitudes’ track featuring Woody Guthrie-penned lyrics “Changing World” and a cover of Quincy Jones’ “Everything Must Change.” Later the MMJ frontman remerged to offer a solo acoustic rendition of “Here In Spirit” off his 2016 solo album Eventually Even. The My Morning Jacket favorite “Wonderful (The Way I Feel)” capped James’ solo set.

James also participated in the show-closing cover of Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun” alongside Thile, Sara Watkins, Richard Dworsky and The Show Band. Follow this link to listen to Saturday’s episode and watch video of the three songs Jim James performed solo below:
