Gov’t Mule frontman Warren Haynes has been a fixture at each of every installment of Virginia’s Lockn’ Festival with the exception of last year’s edition. Mule will return to Lockn’ for the 2017 festival which takes place at Oak Ridge Farm in Arrington, Virginia August 24 – 27. The band has shared a memorable performance from their daytime set at Lockn’ ’15 for our viewing enjoyment.

In the clip below, Gov’t Mule tears through one of their live staples – “Blind Man In The Dark.” Haynes & Co. extend the intro and include a brief jam on Frank Zappa’s “Pygmy Twylyte” before launching into the set-opening song. Watch Gov’t Mule perform “Blind Man In The Dark” at the 2015 Lockn’ Festival:

Lockn’ 17 will feature Gov’t Mule, Phil Lesh & Friends, The Avett Brothers, Umphrey’s McGee, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, moe., The String Cheese Incident, Greensky Bluegrass and many others. Tickets are available via the festival’s website.
