Pro-Shot Video: Galactic Covers ‘Killing In The Name’ With Nikki Glaspie

New Orleans funk act Galactic are the only band to have performed on each and every installment of Jam Cruise. The group always seems to have a few tricks up their sleeves and this past January’s trip was no exception. Jam Cruise organizers continue to roll out professionally-shot video from Jam Cruise 15 and the latest clip is a doozy.

The video below finds Galactic joined by drummer Nikki Glaspie for a cover of Rage Against The Machine’s 1992 smash “Killing In The Name.” Glaspie might be best known for her drumming, but in this instance she showed she’s quite a frontwoman. The Galactic/Glaspie collaboration took place in the theater aboard the Norweigan Pearl on the last full day of Jam Cruise 15, January 24.

Jam Cruise 16 will be held aboard the Norweigan Jade between January 17 and 22 with stops in Roatan, Honduras and Grand Cayman. The lineup will be announced on May 4.
