Pro-Shot Video: Derek Trucks & Jason Bonham Guest With Umphrey’s McGee At Lockn’

One of the highlights of this year’s Lockn’ Festival in Arrington, Virginia came on Friday night when Umphrey’s McGee teamed with drummer Jason Bonham for a series of six songs. While the UM/Jason Bonham collaboration was announced before the festival, guitarist Derek Trucks made a surprise appearance to help close out the set.
Umphrey’s McGee, Jason Bonham and Derek Trucks tore through Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love” to end the set on Friday evening. The Chicago sextet’s drummer Kris Myers stepped out from the kit to lead the ensemble on what would be UM’s first rendition of “Whole Lotta Love” since February 14, 2014.
