Pro-Shot Video: Dead & Company Perform ‘Uncle John’s Band’ In Wheatland

On July 29, 2016 Dead & Company played the penultimate show of their 2016 Summer Tour at Toyota Amphitheatre in Wheatland, California. Dead & Company continue to roll out professionally-shot video in advance of their 2017 Summer Tour starting later this month and the latest is the show-opening “Uncle John’s Band” from Wheatland.

Grateful Dead members Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart along with Oteil Burbridge, Jeff Chimenti and John Mayer have used “Uncle John’s Band” as a jam vehicle and the version from Wheatland spans nearly 15 minutes. Oteil shines throughout and the interplay between John, Bobby and Jeff is particularly impressive.
