Pro-Shot Video: Aqueous Performs ‘Fearless’ In Denver
By Scott Bernstein Jun 20, 2018 • 1:23 pm PDT
Buffalo-based jam quartet Aqueous performed before a capacity crowd at the Bluebird Theater in Denver on June 9. The band has unveiled professionally-shot video of their cover of Pink Floyd’s “Fearless” from that evening.
Aqueous first started covering the song from 1971’s Meddle in 2013 and have only performed “Fearless” a handful of times since. Multi-instrumentalist David Loss handles the lead vocals sung by David Gilmour on Pink Floyd’s original, while guitarist Mike Gantzer utilizes a slide to add an interesting spin on the cover. “Denver was one of my favorite shows of 2018 so far – The Bluebird Theater is a beautiful room and it was epic and very fun to throw down to a sold-out crowd in such an amazing place,” Gantzer said. “The energy was through the roof.”

The quartet used “Fearless” to kick off a show-closing sequence in Denver that also included a 17-minute “Aldehyde” and a version of “Triangle” Aqueous jammed on until they reached curfew. As reported, Gantzer will team with Aqueous bassist Evan McPhaden, moe. guitarist Chuck Garvey, Dopapod keyboardist Eli Winderman and Mungion drummer Matt Kellen for “Fearless – A Tribute To Pink Floyd” at the 2018 edition of the Night Lights Music Festival in Sherman, New York this August.
