Baltimore-based electro-funk quartet Pigeons Playing Ping Pong will make their Red Rocks debut on Thursday when they open for moe. at the iconic Morrison, Colorado venue. PPPP were joined by moe. guitarist Al Schnier for an expansive version of their own “Poseidon” back in May at this year’s Summer Camp Music Festival in Chillicothe, Illinois. Organizers of the event have unveiled professionally-shot video of the Al/Pigeons collaboration as the first installment of the 2018 Summer Camp Sessions series on the eve of the moe./PPPP Red Rocks concert.

The 17+ minute version of “Poseidon” came towards the end of Pigeons Playing Ping Pong’s May 25, 2018 set on Summer Camp’s Starshine Stage. The quartet and their guest quickly moved beyond the song’s normal boundaries for an adventurous jam. Schnier and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong lead guitarist Jeremy Schon pushed each other to impressive heights over the course of the stellar “Poseidon.”
