Third Man Records Details Primus Vault Package
The box set boasts a bevy of Primus classics on 7-inch vinyl for the first time.

Jack White’s Third Man Records announced Vault Package #53, Primus: The Revenant Juke — A Collection of Fables and Farce. The vinyl box set boasts a bevy of Primus classics presented in 7-inch single format for the first time and available to current Third Man Vault program members or those who subscribe before midnight on July 31.
“Across nearly a dozen albums released, through millions of records sold, and dozens of fans properly satiated and slaked in the live arena, there is one thing that Primus has NEVER done in their thirty-plus years as a band…Release a 7-inch single,” press materials for the collection noted.
Disc one of the landmark collection contains two tracks, “John the Fisherman” and “Too Many Puppies” from Primus’ 1990 album Fizzle Fry. Record two features songs from 1991’s Sailing The Seas Of Cheese, “Jerry Was A Race Car Driver” and “Tommy The Cat.” Disc three offers “My Name Is Mud” and “Mr. Krinkle” from 1993’s Pork Soda. “Wynona’s Big Brown Beaver” and “Southbound Pachyderm” from 1995’s Tales From The Punch Bowl appear on the fourth 7-inch while disc five contains The Brown Album’s (1998) “Shake Hands With Beef” and “Over The Falls.” The final record features the title track from Primus’ 1999 LP, Anitpop, along with the album’s “Coattails Of A Dead Man.”
The Revenant Juke: A Collection Of Fables And Farce is packaged in a telescoping box with discs on ducky yellow, bitter lime, fermented orange, soft purple, bruised peach and generic turquoise. Longtime Primus collaborator Adam Gates created the artwork. The box set is available to current subscribers to Third Man Records’ Vault program or those who sign up before midnight on July 31.
