Preservation Hall hosted a tribute to one of the Crescent City’s favorite sons, Lee Dorsey, in New Orleans last night. Trumpeter Eric “Benny” Bloom, pianist Jon Cleary, drummer Jamison Ross, bassist Roland Guerin, saxophonist Clint Maedgen and trombonist Ronell Johnson covered a number of the late Lee Dorsey’s iconic songs including “Working in a Coal Mine,” “Ya Ya,” “Holy Cow” and “Everything I Do Gonh Be Funky (From Now On).” Fishbone frontman Angelo Moore helped out with a guest appearance.
