Polyrhythmics released a new single, “Smoke & Mirrors,” featuring guest vocalist Adryon de Leon. The track is the fourth single from the Seattle-based band’s forthcoming studio album.
Orgōne/Matador! Soul Sounds’ Adryon de León will join Polyrhythmics at their 15th anniversary concerts on May 23 at Revolution Hall in Portland, Oregon and on May 24 at the Wild Buffalo in Bellingham, Washington. Polyrhythmics will also host a 15th anniversary hometown show in Seattle tomorrow, Thursday, April 17, at the Crocodile.
“Smoke & Mirrors” follows recent singles “Chophouse,” “Mayo Con Yayo” and “Life From Below.” The band described the latest preview of the album expected this summer:
“‘Smoke & Mirrors’ — a deep-groove anthem that marks our first-ever studio collaboration with vocalist Adryon de León Music whose soaring, expressive vocals take this track to a whole new level with early ’80s funk bounce and vintage dancefloor energy.”
