On April 30, Pink Floyd will release the live album Live At Knebworth 1990 on CD, vinyl and through digital platforms in standalone form for the first time via Warner Music. The forthcoming set, which was previously only available as part of the group’s The Later Years box set, documents Pink Floyd’s June 30, 1990 performance at Knebworth House in Knebworth, England.

Pink Floyd’s set came as part of The Silver Clef Award Winners Concert which was held in front of approximately 120,000 fans. Paul McCartney, Genesis, Eric Clapton and Elton John were among the other performers at the fundraiser for the Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy Charity.

Longtime members David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright were joined by their late-1980s touring band and vocalists Durga McBroom, Sam Brown and Vicki McBroom for the lone Pink Floyd set of 1990. Additionally, the ensemble was augmented by Michael Kamen on keyboards, while original “The Great Gig In The Sky” singer Clare Torry reprised her role and saxophonist Candy Dulfer contributed to “Shine On You Crazy Diamond, (Parts 1 – 5)” and “Money.”

Pink Floyd focused on classic material throughout the night with the exception of “Sorrow,” a track from 1987’s A Momentary Lapse Of Reason. “There is something special about Knebworth,” Mason said in press release announcing the live archival set. “We all still have fond memories of playing there in the ’70s, and this show was no different. As a North London boy, this was almost a home game, but with the added delight of being the reassembly of the band after a fairly mega-tour that had lasted for well over a year.”
