Pigeons Playing Ping Pong shared a pair of videos featuring members of Twiddle, who recently delivered their final concerts ahead of an indefinite hiatus. The footage of originals “Indiglo” and “F.U.” along with an Incubus cover was captured at PPPP’s Domefest event on May 20, 2023 at Legend Valley in Thornville, Ohio.
Pigeons’ first guest on May 20 was Twiddle keyboardist Ryan Dempsey who emerged for the second song of the first set, “Indiglo.” PPPP frontman Greg Ormont introduced Dempsey with “Can I get a where’s Norb?,” the keyboardist’s nickname. “We’ve known Twiddle for at least a decade. The last time they were at Domefest was 2014, nine years ago. So good to have ‘em back. Make some noise for Twiddle ladies and gentlemen!”
Dempsey then laced “Indiglo” with organ and also took a rollicking piano solo. Watch below:
Additionally, PPPP also shared video of staple “F.U.” along with the debut of the Incubus song “Summer Romance (Anti-Gravity Love Song).” Flowing out of second set opener “Feelin’ Fine,” “F.U.” saw Twiddle drummer Adrian Tramontano manning an auxiliary percussion kit and engaging in a drum off with Pigeons’ Alex Petropulos during the Incubus premiere.
