Ben Harper And The Innocent Criminals :: 4.2.16 :: The Capitol Theatre :: Port Chester, NY

Harper lead the ensemble through several songs from the outfit’s long awaited upcoming album Call It What It Is which is due out on Stax records next Friday. The show also incorporated a stripped-down rendition of “Love And Trust,” a song written for the recent Mavis Staples album Livin’ On A High Note, as well as a number of Harper classics such as “Steal Your Kisses,” “Burn One Down,” “Diamonds On The Inside,” “Gold To Me” and “Faded,” as well as a take on “Where Could I Go” that saw Harper singing at the lip of the stage without a microphone.
