Upstate New York jam-rockers moe. returned to Colorado this past weekend for a pair of sold-out performances in Boulder and Denver. The weekend started for the band on Friday with a show at the Boulder Theater and concluded on Saturday night at Denver’s Ogden Theatre. Friday’s show featured a number of rarities including “Little Miss Cup Half Empty,” “lylelovit.” and “Canned Pastries” as well as the first moe. cover of Jimi Hendrix’s “Fire” since February 14, 2013. Saturday’s performance opened with the first “Queen Of Everything” in nearly a year and saw the band cover the “Star Wars Overture” and House Of Pain’s “Jump Around.” The evening’s encore started off with the return of the traditional bluegrass tune “Salt Creek” after nearly five years (last time played = January 30, 2011).
