Phish Riviera Maya Drone Video Features ‘Yarmouth Road’ Soundtrack

This past weekend Phish held their first destination event, Phish Riviera Maya, at the Barcelo Maya Resort in Mexico. The first set of Sunday night’s finale included a take on the reggae-tinged “Yarmouth Road” which serves as the soundtrack for a cool video featuring footage collected by a drone at the event.
Just before the foursome began “Yarmouth Road,” guitarist Trey Anastasio offered a bit of banter pointing out the efforts of bass tech Mike Burns and also mentioning the group would be taking a break from the road to focus on studio work. Bassist Mike Gordon noted the frequencies from drones at the event were interfering with his wireless feed, but seemed to give the okay for drones saying “I love drones, so let ’em fly.”
Watch drone video from Phish Riviera Maya shared by Pete Burkhardt which shows off the impressive handiwork of the event’s light designers Chris Kuroda and Jefferson Waful via this link.
