Phish’s Jon Fishman & Mike Gordon Perform At Bernie Sanders Rally

Phish drummer Jon Fishman and bassist Mike Gordon performed withThe Mallett Brothers Band at a rally for presidential candidate Bernie Sanders yesterday in Vermont. The event was held at Champlain Valley Exposition in Essex Junction and featured Gordon’s daughter Tessa Gordon adding vocals to a few songs.

Fish, Mike and The Malletts covered “Fortunate Son” at the start of their set and followed with “Too Much Trouble.” Tessa came out for “A Life That’s Good” and Mike played acoustic guitar with Tessa helping to sing George Jones’ “Why Baby Why.” Spose, who also sat-in with Fish and The Malletts at a rally on Monday, came out to lead “Off Road.”

Tessa came back to help out on her father’s original “Whirlwind,” and she returned after “Last Man Standing” for a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Ring Them Bells.” The musicians then played “Headed Home” and the set ended with Gordon’s “Let’s Go.”
