Don’t Tell Me This Country Ain’t Got No Heart: A Benefit For Voter Participation is a fundraiser for HeadCount, the non-partisan organization that works to promote involvement in democracy in the United States.
The evening will feature a performance from Phil Lesh & Very Special Friends. Lesh will be joined by at the Apollo by the Harlem Gospel Choir, The Terrapin Family Band, Nicki Bluhm, Talib Kweli, Eric Krasno and Robert Randolph. “This moment requires each of us to step up and get involved,” Lesh told Rolling Stone. “Playing the Apollo the first time is both an honor for me personally and something I can do to help support as many people voting in the Midterms and beyond. I can’t wait for September 7th … and for November 6th.” Rolling Stone also notes the concert will be streamed online.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, August 17 at 12 p.m. ET via Ticketmaster.
