Phil Lesh Quintet To Play Historic NYC Venue

On September 21 Phil Lesh will regather his Quintet, the longest-running ensemble of his post-Jerry days of “Phil Lesh & Friends” shows, for a performance at Forest Hills Tennis Stadium in Queens, NY, marking the group’s first visit to NYC in over a decade. The Phil Lesh Quintet features Phil joined by keyboardist Rob Barraco, guitarists Warren Haynes and Jimmy Herring and drummer John Molo.

Phil’s show at the historic venue is part of the bassist’s exclusive pact with impresario/Relix publisher Peter Shapiro, which continues to pay dividends for NYC area Deadheads. Tickets go on sale Monday, August 4 at 10 a.m. via The Capitol Theatre website. The Forest Hills Tennis Stadium was built in 1923 and hosted the U.S. Open more than 50 times between 1915 and 1977.
