The Terrapin Hootenanny will take place on September 14. Terrapin Crossroads defines the Hootenany as a “celebratory event held at Terrapin Crossroads featuring some or all of the following: moonshine, straw hats, people ‘twirling’ socially, banjo, sing-a-longs and a Grateful Dead flag. Interestingly enough, it tends to be wild and uninhibited with rotating performers known and unknown, young and old.” Phil Lesh will be joined by Scott Law, Jason Crosby and “many, many special guests” for the performance. Those purchasing dinner tickets will be treated to an all you can eat backyard BBQ on the Terrapin patio with Phil and the Gang.
Also, Phil & The Terrapin Family Band will be joined by Aaron Redner of Hot Buttered Rum “and other special guests” on September 25 for an Autumn Equinox Celebration, which has been described as “an evening of reflection and renewal, a celebration of all the beauty autumn brings.” Finally, in honor of DSO’s October 3 & 4th performances at the venue, Lesh will pick one of his favorite Grateful Dead shows which he will recreate with special guests on Thursday, October 2.
Tickets for all three shows will be available at the venue starting at 4 p.m. PT this afternoon, which will be followed by an online ticket sale tomorrow, August 30.
